Cheaper by the dozen

Some good friends of mine took a much needed long weekend break (Friday ~ Tuesday), and I've been hanging out with 9 of their kids, in the meantime (plus 2 squatters).

I'm reminiscing...

when WE had vats of peanut butter and honey
game nights
turf wars
swimming in the pond
shared bedrooms
bubble baths
stubbed toes and skinned knees
meaningless spats
noisy mealtimes
making mud soup (these kids make "soup cake"!)
running barefoot, spending more time outdoors than in
WAITING for summer vacation
bologna sandwiches
pretending to brush my teeth at night
timed turns on the computer
adjusting the timer so I got more computer time
 built in best buds

Timothy ~ who could resist a charmer like that??

The kids all wanted me to take pictures of them eating their spaghetti and meatballs (for Timo).  Hi Timo!

(you can tell which pics were taken with my phone...) :(
 Debra
The smallest serving of spaghetti you've ever seen!!
Katie ~ the sauce and pasta can NOT touch!! :)
Scott ~ going for the goofy look!
Patrick ~ more goofies
Timothy
The messier the food, the better it tastes!!
What do you do when the laundry and dishes are done, and all the big kids are in school?? You make chocolate chip cookies! "woohoo!!"

Not to worry, Ruth! The house is still standing (even though very nearly struck by lightening) and we haven't made a trip to the ER yet. ;)
