Coffee + Facelift

Liquid energy!

We've been working on a two week month project to install a counter top with cupboards and sink on the opposite side of the dining hall for the drink station, move the dirty dish/garbage station into a corner of the room with a newly-erected wall and move the mail/information corner into the former drink station corner. On Monday we started using the new coffee machines and hot water cooker, which are directly connected to water = no more shuffling huge 40 liter metal vats in and out of the kitchen with impatient people asking if there is more coffee. The coffee is also no longer sour-tasting as it is brewed directly into 2,5 liter thermoses and stays piping hot for hours. Oh, we love it!

"You know what I love about cooking? I love that after a day when nothing is sure, and when I say nothing, I mean nothing, you can come home and absolutely know that if you add egg yolks to chocolate, sugar and milk, it will get thick. It's such a comfort!" I love that quote! Anyone know where it's from? I watched it (twice) over the weekend and immediately went and bought the cookbooks online. They were too heavy (translates $40) to ship over here, so they'll be waiting for me when I get home! I can't wait to get to know them!

I LOVE THE NEW DRINK COUNTER! Tis fantastic! I like the wall there to kinda hide the dirty dishes too. Very cool. I don't know where the quote is from, but I'll keep your cook books "safe" for you til you get back... ; ) hehe! :D Btw... that quote makes no sense. Guess you had to have watched the movie...

Hehe, thanks! We think it's awesome too!!! The quote is from Julie and Julia. The cookbooks I bought are How to Master the Art of French Cooking volume 1 & 2. ;) I give you permission to love them until I get home. :D

Espesially when they look in the mirror and go: We look good!.... *pause* But not great. Hehe!

Oh and my fave... "I can blog. I have thoughts!"
