Still here

I promised T that I would get my act together and post today. I'm pretty sure that it's still today since I haven't gone to bed yet, even though technically today was yesterday!
Yes, we are still here.
Yes, I promise to post more often.
No, the girls are not homesick, but they get excited to see updates/pictures from home.
Yes, I have my ticket home. It's for August 29th.
Yes, I will be at the Labor Day Youth Conference.
Yes, I am getting excited to be coming back! :)
Enjoying the rainy, winter weather from the comfort of the indoors with a 1,000 piece puzzle,
warm banana bread and Disney CD's!
We went to Tønsberg today and Megan found a cute dress and Abbie found cute shoes for school. Both items were 75% off which made them an awesome deal, even for penny-pinching Americans!
Sweet!
We ate at a pizza restaurant on the boardwalk for dinner, but my pics from the day were accidentally deleted.
Bummer!!
It was a fun day!

We went on a boat/fishing trip with David B and the kids yesterday. Matt caught a 7-ish pound cod. David had fun throwing leftover fish body parts to the seagulls and watching them be absolute pigs and wolf them down in a single gulp. Sverre's elated "I got a big one" was deflated when he realized that he had hooked a big seagull on a fly cast, and not a big cod, as hoped for! The seagull was reeled in, the hook removed from his slightly battered wing, and, after he took five, he flew again!
The girls are looking forward to Liz coming, and can't believe that the countdown for home is only 12 days!
I can't believe that my countdown for home is only 26 days!!
I finally have my tickets for Germany, France and Finland, where I'll be visiting some friends during my last two weeks here.
I am getting used to the idea that I am finished here. We went in to the kitchen today to eat cake for Stephen's birthday, and it was strange to sit in on the weekly kitchen meeting, and not be the one doing the talking. It was ok, and Jenni did a fantastic job! I love it that they are rallying around her.
She told them to make BOATLOADS of re-fried beans for dinner yesterday, and then wondered what to do with the entire trolley of leftovers today. Apparently, beans freeze just fine!

Jenni, if that's the worst thing you do, you'll be doing fantastic!!
