Dreaming
I found clementines in the store a few days ago! There were only 2 bags left in the case and they caught my eye as I passed by. We stood and looked at each other for a minute, and somehow, they ended up in my cart! Clementines mean Christmas and Christmas is only 56 days, 13 hours and 52 minutes away! I wish that Thanksgiving came earlier (say the middle of October), so that we could really get into the Christmas mood without feeling like we're gypping Thanksgiving of it's spotlight. I love Thanksgiving too, but it just needs to come earlier! :) But today, we're focusing on fall. We're having our annual Fall Party at Myers Pointe this afternoon. The problem is that it is freezing cold and pouring rain ~ equals no hay ride, AND they're calling for snow tonight. Snow. Shakes head. We're going to have a fun time inside though, under the big top!
"Come one, come all! Step right up..."
All you have to do is move to Canada! We Canadians are long finished with Thanksgiving and are joyfully moving on to Christmas! LOVE it! Have a fun Fall Party... I miss those!
Yep Teresa, Canada it is! Just my thoughts and then I see that another ex-pat had already caught onto it!! :) Made me laugh to hear you wishing for christmas but shaking your head at snow! Don't you know that Christmas means snow? oh yeah, you're not from Canada! :) Just kidding! I wish WE got snow here in Seattle, even just sometimes, wouldn't HAVE to be at Christmas. But then again it'd be fun for my kids to experience a White Christmas. anyway. Happy Fall Partying!

Hehe, yeah, I like the Canadian Thanksgiving date so much better than ours! But then I guess they had about 100 years to observe the Americans' celebration before deciding it would be better to have it earlier in the year! ;) :D Mary, you made me laugh, too, because Christmas does mean snow (hopefully), but when the leaves are still red and orange on the trees, and the grass is green, it's STILL too early for snow, no matter how ready you are for Christmas! :D
