then and now

From this ~ one month ago...
...to this!! :D :D :D I absolutely LOVE this room now! The floor was leftover from a job my dad did, and it turned out pretty sweet! I had fun putting it down and making it come out perfectly even! :D
I love the morning light, and my new blackout shade for keeping it out when I don't love  it. :)
I still need to give the dresser top a new coat of paint...
 It's a small room ~10 x 10, but it's perfect for me!
My spacious closet, covered by the most amazing curtains, that my mom made (THANK YOU!!) out of a tablecloth that I found!!! I just LOVE this fabric! I don't know why I have such a hard time finding curtains/fabric that I like! I think the selection is just really, really boring and tacky, to be honest. I'm so happy to have walked past the tablecloth section (Target) and that I spotted these!! England, on the other hand, is home to the most amazing and CHEAP curtain selection that it just makes me so jealous! Maybe I should start an import business??

It feels weird to post. Which is weird. Time has just flown by and I just realized that it's been one and a half months since my last post! ??? I'll try to catch up on the old stuff, but was so excited about hanging my curtains last night, that I had to post this first. :)

School is going well. I only have one more week of history, with 3 papers due and one more test before next Sunday. Fun, fun! :) I'm off to get working on it...!!

Ha! I think that fabric looks much better as your curtains than a table cloth! LOL! Cool beans about your place. Look'n good! Now I gotta come see it. Why is that we can never visit each other? Ridiculous! Think we need to put an end to it. : )

Totally agree with you on the tablecloth vs curtain bit, and the getting together bit! I think we just need to make a date!! ;)

Love it! The curtains, the floor, the bedside table, the lamp, the blinds, the room AND THE POST!!! Thank you for taking the time to! I've been checking here every day pretty much this last week!

wow! It's amazing! :) I agree with you about curtains...that's why I just have some tea-stained muslin TACKED to my living room windows and when I want them open, I clothes-pin them up. (not stylish, but cheap... lol! I don't know what the dresser looks like in person, but I love it in the pictures. I love the sort of shabby chic look. :) thanks for sharing! :)

Thanks guys! I'm really happy with how it turned out. Hehe, I hear ya, Julie! I would have gone with just a neutral color curtain, too, but the whole room, including furniture was white and I wanted a little color in the curtains. The dresser is amazing in person! I picked it and the mirror up at the Goodwill for $40.00!! It was green, then, so I fixed it up with a coat of paint, but it's a great, old piece! :D
