Surprises

Happy Birthday to Haike! We celebrated her birthday on Tuesday with a lot of friends. And a surprise! We collected worn-out jeans from all the girls and cut out squares and gave them to her friends to decorate, and later sewed it together to make a quilt. (It's like, wow!) It turned out pretty cool and I think she liked it almost as much as we liked making it! (Thanks for the loan of your sewing machine, Sarah! You rock!) Thanks, Haike, for everything over the past year! You are awesome!! Today: SURPRISE! It did NOT snow today, even though they said it would! It was warm enough that water was constantly dripping off the roof, off the trees and made a lovely slush. The bran muffins I made yesterday totally rocked, as well as disappeared, so I made two more batches today after work! I think it's safe to say this is the best recipe I've ever made (or had)! I'll put some in the freezer for when you come, Mom and Delores! I can't wait to see you again in 17 days!! I am beyond excited!! Btw, Jenn, thanks for the Readers Digests you tucked into my package! That should keep me busy for awhile! Well I am going to clean up this place a bit and then call it a day. (how did Monday manage to sneak up so fast??) Here's to more MELTING tomorrow!
