This is me

We had an A-lags feast last Sunday and to be able to get into the hall, you had to present a self-portrait. Definition - noun: a painting, picture, etc, of oneself, done by oneself. Boo to the people who didn't even do a stick figure but got someone else to do theirs. They were all hung in rows along the wall and it was really cool to see them all, especially if you could tell who they were! It was really neat to see what people came up with. The above picture is the top 5. All of the girls are in the kitchen! Aren't we just talented??!! Heather Crawford, bottom left, got 3rd place. Natasha, 2nd place, embroidered her eyes and used jeans and her own hair on hers! Ruthi, top right, won 1st prize of a personal painting by Henk who did the paintings in Forum. The top 20 were hung on display and somehow?! mine ended up among them. Still wondering about that one...

My first attempt at a portrait...It's quite possible it would have turned out a little better with better tools than a stubby IKEA pencil! Yeah. A few people thought it was Shannon Henry! Hmm...

Today: We have been blessed with a blizzard today. Again. I don't think Old Man Winter has any intention of going back to where he came from any time soon! So, we're making the best of it, and waiting for a package from HOME! Can't wait to get that! I'm going to make raisin bran muffins and listen to Il Divo and not worry about the snow nearly reaching my balcony on the fourth floor! Happy Weekend!
