Happy Easter
Hi Wednesday! We had an amazing Easter weekend and there was so much good to soak in! The meetings were incredible and I got to a couple of them and watched almost all the others. I always love singing Påske morgen slukker sorgen in the hall with 8,000 people! One of the meetings that stuck out to me the most was the one where Kåre talked about the potter, and how the clay does not have any opinions or demands about what it should be made into, or how it should be dealt with. It's really so absurd that I should have demands about how I think my situation should be or how my life should go. There is such a peace and happiness that comes from giving everything completely over to God, to do with as He pleases. He sees everything from the beginning to the end while I only have this limited view of what is right in front of me. I will fight to live in this spirit of faith every day, so that I don't live for myself or what suits me, but that God can have His way in my life. I'm definately going to check on BMM for the meetings and listen to them again!
We celebrated Easter as best we could here, dying Easter eggs (and the table and surrounding floor!!) for Sunday morning breakfast, lighting candles, had bowls of chocolate on the tables and made a nice lamb roast (traditional Norwegian Easter fare). I also managed to make several layer cakes with lemon and lime filling, with whipped cream, raspberries and chocolate curls on top. It wasn't the cozy Easter dinner around the table that I miss from home, but it was nice! The weather was perfect for the weekend and people were going around in short sleeves during the day! It was really nice to see people from home and spend some time with Teresa and her little family! The little rascals were also back trying to break into the kitchen. I must have locked the side door 20 times and every time, two minutes later, they would be in again. I seriously couldn't figure it out, and after locking the door, would check every possible hiding place to see if one of them was still in the kitchen and opening the door for the others again. I never saw anyone though and it was getting slightly frustrating to leave my cake-making every two minutes to chase little boys out! Finally, I stood there and watched from around the corner and saw that they were climbing into the cracked bathroom window. Unbelievable! Locking the window took care of that problem and then they took their mischief elsewhere!
"Thanks for noticin me" =) Really bummed I didn't get to talk to you last night. You were gone by the time I got home. =( Next time I guess
