Here comes the sun

Hello weekend! Hello SUN and warmth! As lovely as it would be to be able to sleep in on a day off, it was too beautiful a morning to waste sleeping! I have about an hour and a half window in the morning where the sun hits my balcony above the railing (to avoid the striped-tan effect) and this morning I nabbed it! Of course, the sun comes over the hill progressively earlier and earlier during the summer, and soon I'll have to get up at 5:00 a.m. if I want to catch the sun on my own, personal balcony! I've had this craving for a bagel the past couple of days and I decided to try to make them this morning, since they're not to be found over here! I found a recipe online and they turned out amazing, even better than the ones from the shop! Next time I'm going to try adding some whole grains and garlic, or cinnamon-raisin. I'd also like to give a shout-out to "Muffin" who recently commented on a post. Anyone know who this is?? I've been a bit under the weather the past couple of days so I don't have any big plans for today besides finishing re-organizing the cupboards and closets here, posting some long-overdue letters and I am having a couple friends over for dinner (seared scallops, stuffed manicotti and fresh asparagus). This evening they are showing another meeting from the conference and afterward there will be a bonfire down by beach with Norway's national food hot dogs and snacks. I am very pleased to report that there is only a SMALL patch of snow on top of the hill behind Brunstad, where the trees shade it. Otherwise, we are SNOW-FREE!! Sweet! Another coffee latte, please! Go!

Hehe... Muffin er Mette Johnsen ;) Se niffum.blogspot.com

De Bagelsene så farlig gode ut! Men har du prøvd de bagelsene du finner i frysedisken? Smaker ikke de det samme som i USA?

What can I say! I sit and savor your delicious pictures of food:-)
We have had a beautiful warm & sunny weekend here. The pear trees are blooming and it snows pear petals when the breeze blows.

Hehe, takk Tone! Har aldri sett bagels i butiken men det kan hende at det er det samme. Jeg kommer ikke så ofte ut og handler på butiken så det kan også bli grund for at jeg ikke har sett. ;)

Sounds lovely, Debbie! Can't wait til we catch up over here! Trees are staaaarting to bloom now! :D

Cheers to no snow! And cheers to hot dogs on the beach! Lol Norway's national food... I had my cozy Easter dinner at Sacra's. My first "official" dinner as I was told. : ) Quite nice. I very much enjoy spending time with "my new family to be". It's a bit of a chilly/rainy spring around here. It will prolly jump right into 1000 deg summer. : D Beach anyone???
