Sweet

Hello spring! We had a really nice week the past week and the pictures above are just a few of the sweet moments in it! (thanks to Mel for the picture of Madison - that sweet picture made my day! See more pictures on her link) A trip to IKEA for kitchen supplies was thrown in for good measure as well as choir practices, having friends over for Sunday brunch on the balcony, picnics on the beach and grabbing a few minutes to just sit in the sun. A friend on A-lag, from Brazil, commented on how she's never really appreciated spring before because it's always warm and green over there. You really appreciate it more after you've been through five months of winter! It's just the coolest thing to watch the plants come alive and funny how you get a kick out of the simplest things, like a bumblebee or a new flower. You know what I just realized is missing here? Spring peepers!! Man, I would love to hear them right now!! Looks like I'll have to settle for the sound of a spring rain. Here's a quote from my English bloopers page a day calender especially for you, Maria, in honor of your post with 90 degree weather! School Daze: Humidity is the experience of looking for air and finding water. Hate that!! Today: Monday sure earned it's name today! It was a merry-go-round of being sent the wrong list of people who were supposed to work here this week, people calling in sick along with an ordered cake meeting it's demise on the floor of the refrigerator and still other cakes being forgotten in the oven and reaching the crispy point, etc, etc. It was good for a laugh or two TEN and we just rolled with it! And now as it is later than I hoped and as I can barely see the screen any more, I am calling it a day and hoping for a slightly less eventful one tomorrow! We have choir in the evening which I am really looking forward to! We are practicing a song for the 17th of May song competition. It has some amazing harmonies and it's a privilege to be doing it! I hope we do it justice! Ciao and god natt!

That is an evil looking bee and I'm glad I was not anywhere near it! Nice shot though.. =) Glad you are warming up over there. I love the definition of humidity! So true...
Today was slightly crazy here as well. Had people calling out sick at work, unexpected reps showing up, etc... I hope tomorrow is better for us all! =)
Love you

Ahhh! Spring Peepers have one of the most welcomed sounds!!!
We have also been listening to some VERY loud frogs in our pool:-)
We had a wonderful but very full wknd here with the Feast, Baptism, Communion etc.
Glad to see that Spring is arriving where you are.

Totally agree about the definition of Humidity! I was gonna comment on your spring peepers an say something about frogs too. They are really loud at night in the pond. I LOVE to hear them. Wish I could record them. Spring peepers are also fantastic. Spring is definitly the best "sounding" season anyways. Except the sound of bees! Can't stand them.
