Come!

Chocolate cake that we made for the Brunstad Feast here
"The Spirit and the Bride say, 'Come'!" It was so good for me to hear this at the Brunstad Feast two weekends ago. Does my life have a pure, clear "come" for the others around me? Come see that it's possible to live a life free from worry, demands on others, self-seeking, irritation, impurity, back-biting and a host of other things that only lead to unhappiness. Come see a life where only goodness, peace, love, true care, joy and blessing are what the others experience from me. This was also echoed at the 50th birthday celebration we had for Julie Browne, in England this past weekend. She is an amazing person and such an example of truly giving your life to bless others. Br Thombre read this verse, "Now David said, 'is there still anyone who is left of the house of Saul, that I may show him kindness for Jonathan's sake?'" II Sam 9:1, and said how that was so typical of Julie (and how she kept trying to invite more and more people to her feast to include everyone), and how she was always looking for someone else to bless and make it good for. Isn't there someone else that I can bless and show kindness to? When I have this attitude to bless and serve others, then life is never dull and empty, but full of joy and purpose and I receive more than I could ever imagine in return. "People everywhere are seeking to be loved and are most often dissappointed. But if we seek to give love we will never be disappointed" - David Heaven. It was also said that she exalted the service or ministry of a single sister. Because she is single, she was able to devote herself to blessing others in a way that not everyone has the opportunity to, without anyone ever sensing that she wanted pity or her complaining about her situations, even in poor health. Just a few snippets from an amazing weekend! It would be well worth getting the CD's if you get the chance! I feel so privileged to know Julie and to be "one of her girls". Today: We just arrived back from England this afternoon so today was a double shot espresso Monday - full strength in half the glass. While I was away over the weekend, the A-lags feast which was planned for Wednesday was moved to TOMORROW. So there will be a nice flurry of activity in the kitchen tomorrow to get ready for that! The theme for the feast is Brazil. We have had a family from the Amazon staying and working at Brunstad for the past 3 months and they will be leaving the first of November. The mother and 14 year old girl have been helping in the kitchen since they came, trying to learn Norwegian. They will help to make the food for the feast tomorrow. It's been really interesting to have them here and I'll be sorry to see them go. It's so cool that they got the opportunity to come here! Here's to a smooth and productive day tomorrow! Cheers!

So cool that you got to go to the feast! I've only met Julie once or twice, but am encouraged every single time I see her on transmissions or wherever. What an amazing testimony her whole being is! Lucky you for going:)
Hope tomorrow's great!
