Viennese Ball

We had an amazing girl's evening at our Viennese Ball! There were 10 younger and 10 older girls. The older girls were the ones responsible for putting on the evening and making it special for the younger ones. The emphasis was on making them feel special, loved and valuable as people, but especially in God's eyes. These days, so much emphasis is put on being beautiful, but it's not so common to hear about being beautiful on the inside, where it counts to God. It's written that "The King's Daughter is all glorious within." That is where a person's true beauty actually lies - in their heart. We were all encouraged to preserve our hearts, above everything else!
The girls were all picked up by two of the dads, given a red rose, and chauffeured over. Pretzel buns with spiced yogurt cheese and fresh cranberry tea were served in the entrance when everyone came in.
Jessica, Liz and Christina - looking stunning!
Jenn and I were in charge of the food. We found a Viennese restaurant online, with recipes typically served after a ball.
First course - red cabbage salad and leek soup
Austrian beef goulash
Chocolate cream cake
 The banquet tables
All the fathers wrote letters to their daughters, which were read aloud to them. They were very sweet and touching. So.much.love.
Diana, at the punch fountain centerpiece
Abbie and Diana - best buds
Keri and Becky - "Oh Romeo!"
Mel and Miriam - the opera stars
My beautiful Abbie
Liz was stunning!
Jessica and Ange
Gorgeous!
My pretty girl!

(I was in and out of the kitchen and regret not getting photos of all the girls!)
Mel did an awesome French rendition of Habanera from Carmen, even though her music glitched and she had to do it a capella!
The older girls did a promenade done in Vienna to open the dance floor
Megan and Ange gave an awesome dance demonstration
 Everyone trying the waltz
 Tina and Keri
 Megan and Maria
Loved Becky's outfit!
Amazing girls!!
Our two (youngest) sweethearts! We don't spoil them or anything...

Time for all princesses to be in bed

I truly loved those pictures. Wish I could have been there. One of the reasons I am glad you are home now is that I get updates from Delaware every now and then. I love the frame picture idea and I also really like the picture of everyone sleeping. That looks like fun. Miss you girls so much!
