Family week at Victory started last weekend, and we spent 4 hot, but fun days up there! We performed our musical on Moses on Sunday, in the morning and evening. (separate post coming) I was involved with a lot of the activities on Monday and Tuesday, so I didn't get many pictures taken, but the kids had such a good time with bouncy houses and trains, pony rides, volleyball and soccer tournaments, outdoor challenge, Medieval~themed activities, a parade, swimming, cotton candy and popcorn, awesome friends, bonfires and more! It was possibly the most fun summer at Victory, ever!!
Happy Birthday, Johanne!! <3

The theme for the activity day was "Knights of the Round Table". Fifteen knights dressed up in costume, and accompanied their teams to different Medieval~themed stations. The station that DE was given to do was "plague tag". I mean, they did have an awful lot of disease back then, not washing their hands and tossing the contents of chamber pots out the window, and all, but how FUN to be chased by some unknown diseased person with no concept of hygiene! Josh and Luke were the chosen plagued ones, who tried to pass off their "sickness" to the kids, and their knights and squires, who had to stay within a boundary line. One person from the team was the "doctor" who could free the sick people who had been tagged. It was pretty humorous as some of the kids took it literally. As I explained the game to one group, one little girl looked horrified, and said, with puckered face, "But I don't WANT their sthicknessth!!", and made a beeline for the nearest shelter. Most of the kids loved it, though, and some wanted to play again! The knights were mostly happy to get caught, so they could rest in the "hospital". :D I wanted to get pictures from the other stations, but was kept busy motivating the two plagued ones to spread disease!

It's TIRING to have the plague AND chase kids around for 3 hours, in the heat!
Sister love!
LOVE the pic of Madi on the horse! Cool to see a bit of our station too. I only saw the little kid stuff seeing as I had... "little kids" : )
