Irene
The key to waiting out hurricane Irene...
good food...
good times...
We never lost power, thankfully!
Surveying the damage, the next morning. This is at the end of our road.
My plum tree was also taken down, but thankfully, the root ball just rolled, and we were able to prop this guy up again, with stakes and wire. I think he'll be just fine! :D
The hurricane wasn't as bad as originally predicted, and none of us got wet basements or any real damage. I love storms like that!!
Fun fact ~ It's been one year, today, that I came back from Norway. It's been an interesting, but good, year! Looking forward to the next one!! :D
wow! We got water in our basement and it came in much faster than usual, but other than that we were fine. We had no damage and didn't see any damage and the river near us looked high, but not crazy... but farther to the south east in this state there is a lot of damage and some people still aren't expecting power until the 9th!! I feel so bad for them...
Glad you guys were ok! It's crazy that there are still people without power! I can't imagine...
