Remember when...

I got this picture in a birthday card from my aunt. I don't think I've ever seen it before, but I love it! (love the stylin' sandals and socks!) I'll always be a Daddy's girl! Today: Happy Birthday to Angela!! You ROCK, little sis, and I love you heaps! We had an awesome early Thanksgiving dinner at Sarah's over the weekend. We played Baulderdash afterward and laughed for 3 hours straight! Who knew that you could have peeties, fumaroles or cleeks? We're gearing up for our big day in two days! I still need to find more pumpkin! Sarah and I cleaned out the one, single Meny with pumpkin in the area. They said they are getting more in. On Thursday. Not helpful. I need it by tomorrow! I have a hunch that at this point I'll throw in some cooked, mashed sweet potato into the pumpkin that I already have and no one will be the wiser for it! Because we can.

Love the photo!!!
I hope you find your pumpkin although sweet potato or butternut squash can make it happen! We are having Thanksgivng here with J&R and Joe K. and kids. Isaac and Maria will come for dessert.

Hey, I read an article that said the pumpkin crop basically got rained out this year and it is going to scarce til next year... maybe that's why. :S : ) Glad you know how to improvise. I have one sitting on my front step which I am planning to hack open and cook up and attempt to make a pie with. Good luck to me...

@ Debbie - Sounds like fun Thanksgiving! I'm sure it will be great, as usual!

@ Maria - That explanation hardly holds here - it's just Norway and they simply don't carry it. Roasting is easy. Just bake it for a couple hours on low until super soft, and then cook it for hours on the stove until all the liquid has evaporated and it's thick, then puree it. Good luck!!

Love the picture! Dad is even stylin with the glasses. Lol. Miriam did the same thing for my birthday and gave me a picture I also did not know existed. Yay for Miriam...

You never said anything to me about the boots?? Did either of them work? Did you keep any? Both??

@ Jenn - Cool! It's such a good idea! I didn't end up keeping either of the boots. :( I loved the one pair but couldn't get my foot in, and the other one didn't fit well. Oh well. I'm managing so far... hasn't really snowed yet. I hope I'll get you that email soon!!!

@ Abbie - So nice you got pictures too! Even people here at Brunstad who don't know you look at our family picture and say you look like me! (poor you!) lol. Love you bunches too! Big hug!
