At last
It finally worked out to make stroopwafels this weekend! Erica, Jenni, Laurel and I have been trying for months to get together and try my new ice cream cone cum stroopwafel iron. I've lost count of the amount of times we've canceled and rescheduled because it didn't work for someone, for one reason or another, so it was nice to finally have an evening where it worked out for everyone! The one on the left is the clone, but pretty doggone close to the real thing!

Today: The sun is shining! I ate breakfast and read on the balcony, in the sun, for several hours, listening to the sound of seagulls. Love. We'll be watching the Brunstad feast later this evening as there was an event here yesterday. Can't wait!
You tried out the ice-cream-cone-cum-stroopwaffle-iron before I did! :) Seems like it worked real well! Have to try mine soon too... (I hope I get some time for it...) :)
Did you get an iron too? I didn't remember... I hope you have time to try it soon, too! Just don't over bake them. ;) Some of ours got too brown...
