Spring in Holland!
We left on our annual A-lag trip to Pagedal, in Holland, last Wednesday, and got back late Sunday night. The whole trip ran on a tight schedule, leaving at 5:00 a.m. there and back, but it was an awesome trip and the best one so far! The feast on the last evening was about Discipleship and was extremely good and encouraging! One point that was made was how athletes who compete to win in the Olympics give themselves over to their trainer and do exactly what they are told to do, what to eat, how to train, etc. They know if they do exactly as their told, they have a good chance of winning gold. It was so simple that we have to take it the same way. What would my trainer do?

Judy Cooper and I ended up going sightseeing/shopping in Groningen together. We had a lot of fun poking around the town and finding fun things to take pictures of!
I love the market with the fresh (awesome) cheese, which I couldn't resist bringing back with me!
We decided to try fresh cod and chips from the seafood shop. It was amazing!
I love the astonished look on the woman's face at the sight of so many legs protruding out of nowhere!
There are so many bicycles in Holland that to stand out you have to be really different!
Really different.

In the afternoon, half of the sight-seeing group went to an indoor go-cart racing track while the other half did indoor wall-climbing.
The seats on the bus reclined so far back and definitely encroached on the personal space of the person behind them!
Esther Hanson and Christine Burwash
Nathalie Woerlen and Eldorette Jordaan (South Africa)
Isaac Wong - He was a good sport when he had a trick played on him on the bus ride home. He was told that he would get 20 euros if he could bite two licorice candies in half within 30 seconds by clenching down on them. Of course the point was that he wouldn't be able to open his mouth until the candies dissolved! Half an hour and several sippy drinks later he was able to talk again!
It was FRIGID on the bus home in some spots, and absolutely SUFFOCATING in others! Ours just happened to be the freezing spot and we were cold even with our coats and blankets. I had to use my eye mask to keep my nose warm. Crazy.

Today: Thanks to the 20 hour refrigerated ride home, and the short nights, I'm home today nursing a bad head cold/cough. Yay for garlic, lemon tea with honey, echinacea and Tylenol cold and sinus! I finally got around to more tweaking on my blog and I hope I like it better this time! I have a feeling I'll keep fidgeting on it though... I'm off to catch up on some more sleep and hoping for a sneeze-free tomorrow!!

Jenn - I was going to go carting but then got car sick on the way there, and then just took pictures and sat in the sun for a bit. :)

Mette - It was awesome (despite the cold)! :) Markets are the best!
