We celebrated my dad's 60th birthday on Monday, and it was an amazing feast! It was so special to have Kåre here and the weekend was unforgettable! I put together a slide show presentation and had fun going through old pictures and memories.

Dad, thank you for the past 30+ years. I loved being "your boy" until Jon was big enough, going to work with you and helping you with your projects. You taught me how to drive a tractor and use power tools, whistle loud through my teeth, use my imagination, laugh and let go, take care of my finances and a multitude of other things! Your unfailing patience, goodness, love, generosity, understanding and care for me, and so many others, is treasured up in my heart and make me want to be like you so much more! It's been hard to see you so sick, but it's only made it more obvious that your heart isn't here on the earth, but in the Heavenly places. I'm so thankful, though, for each moment longer that we get to have you here! You really are a gift to us, and I'm so glad that I got to be your little girl!

A very nice job on the slide show, Teresa! A lovely tribute to your dad! Somehow some of the pictures look rather familiar. =)
Sure am looking forward to Thanksgiving!

Very nice post Teresa! Brings back memories. My first memory of your parents is their wedding. Some of us when we were kids tried to tell you we knew your mom and dad before you did and you were pretty upset at us and insisted that you knew them first!! Ruth Ann F.
