Pirates and Pumpkins

Don't mess with these tough gals - Abbie, Angie, Diana and Jessica!

The theme for our Fall Party this year was The Ocean. It was definitely interesting to see what everyone came up with! There were a lot of pirates milling about, searching for loot. Maria and I worked the ship's galley and made sure that everyone had their fill of fish and chips, or octopus and chips, for the kiddos. I didn't get so many pictures taken but maybe Maria will post more!? Barring the fact the the breaker kept tripping our fryers and, as a result, dinner was late, it turned out very well and was a really fun day! Argh mateys!

It was hard to keep the sand out of the kitchen!

This week I

got stranded at Victory for 2 days while helping to bring a shed home
turned on the air conditioner, three times - what's up with that, October??
renewed my commitment to eat healthy (gluten + sugar free) I need to do this for me!
sat in the grass and blew bubbles with 2 sweet girls
started a part time job
picked pumpkins and made donuts with two awesome little boys
will celebrate my youngest brother turning 16
will celebrate my little sis turning 24
will draw names for our family Christmas gift exchange
am so thankful for the life I have and the people who I have around me!

Happy Weekend!!

Like your "blogover" : ) Nice color! Uh, yes I did/still do plan to do a fall party post. Since you have already put a bunch of pics up I'll just fill in the gaps. : ) Glad you didn't get stranded for longer at Victory! :P Takk for sist... hehe! Still looking forward to our date. Maybe Ang could come? I feel like she doesn't exist anymore. Now if for ONCE your blog doesn't eat my comment... we'll be good.
