Good food, good meat...

We had yet another A-lag's feast on Sunday! It seems they come up faster and faster. A French girl and I were in charge of planning the food so we had fun with the menu and tried some new dishes. Everyone seemed to enjoy it, so that was good! For dessert we had stuffed, baked apples with caramel and vanilla cream sauce. Mmm, good.

An amusing Russian dance. They made their own costumes!
Monday evening, I had all the American girls (+ one Canadian and one Englishman) over for hot donuts and cider. I used a juicer (highly recommended!!) to make the cider this time and it was ever so much easier!! We had a fun (and LOUD) evening and it was really nice to hang out together!
Ellen was my donut-glazing assistant. Watching hilarious clips on youtube after no one could eat any more donuts! "I personally believe that some people out there in our nation don't HAVE MAPS..."
Today: It didn't start out on the right foot, but ended up ok. I have been waking up at all hours of the night lately, and having a hard time going back to sleep. Last night, the lucky number was 2:15 a.m. Tired as anything but wide awake! Weird. It was one of those "here we go 'round the mullberry bush" days at work, where anything and everything happens, but I managed to get a couple of things on my to-do list crossed off, and here's hoping for a more productive day tomorrow. And a better night's sleep! Tomorrow, we are making donuts for all of A-lag, so that will be fun! Cheerio!

So cool to read your posts! Yes, I do check often, even though I hardly ever leave a comment... :)
Feel ya with the "waking up at all hours & having a hard time going back to sleep"... Hope you get all things done before leaving. I'm so glad you get to see your family again.
Have a great evening!
