More Donuts...
Today was fun, as anticipated, and we made a total of 450 Krispy Kremes and I guess the same number of little donut holes! I think this is the 4th time we've made them here and they are scarfed up every time! It was cutting it a little close, getting them all fried up before dinner time, and I ended up doing the glazing while Emily ran them upstairs as quick as we could pop them out. They're so much better warm like that though, and they cleaned them all up in record time. And yes, I PROMISE to make them when I come home!
This evening Andrea M came over and we had a really nice evening, just chatting about how and why we came to A-lag and how important it is to listen to what you sense in your heart is right for you to do! It's so cool how everyone here has a story, a history, and it's really interesting to get to know people and hear their stories.
This weekend is the last free weekend before Christmas vacation and almost everyone is taking a trip somewhere and using the last chance to get away and do something. I'm not sure what I will be doing yet. Maybe taking a visit to Drammen...or shopping...or catching up on stuff in the office... I have this whole LIST of stuff that has to be done before I leave - Thanksgiving next week and the week after that is the Christmas feast and the Christmas Concert (and Teresa Laing W is coming and staying with me for the weekend!!), and there's another feast for the new A-lag 3 days after I get back after Christmas to plan, plus all the little details to take care of before leaving. The important stuff always gets done though, and the rest just has to wait a little longer. I'm really excited to come home and I know the next 3 weeks are just going to FLY by! Ready, set, GO!
Wow! Are you the Donut Diva?
