Hello December!

I love this month!! There is so much goodness to get to give! I love making good stuff to give away. I love Christmas shopping and thinking of all the people you would like to make Christmas special for, and realizing how lucky you are to be surrounded by so many good friends and family! This year is definitely on a budget, but I'm looking forward to baking with the kids, and making a gingerbread house and all the fun things that don't require big bucks to make Christmas wonderful!

I FINALLY got around to having dinner with my nephew, Derek! He is a cool kid, and is really into cooking and good food right now (my kinda guy)! He watches The Food Network! I Love it! For his (13th) birthday, I promised him that we could make the menu, go shopping and then make the dinner together. He had a tough time waiting for an available kitchen, since I don't have my own place yet, but we finally managed it. We had such a fun time shopping and making the food together!

Seafood Alfredo, scallops and dilled baby carrots was his choice, and a good one it was!

Today: I'm off to do some cleaning and cleaning out, and then it's decorating for Christmas time around here! The rumor is that we may even get the tree, which would be really cool! I am so ready for this! Enjoy the weekend!
