Beware, and good cheer
Today, on Facebook, a young friend announced to the world that she had gotten stalking stuffers (stocking stuffers) for her entire family. I have personally never gotten a stalking stuffer, but I'm fairly certain that, on the scale of fortunate and unfortunate, a stalking stuffer ranks pretty high on the fortunate-to-never-have-received-side! The conjured image of someone stalking me on Christmas day is not a pleasant one. And what do they stuff? Do they creep up behind you, waiting for the perfect moment to stuff down your shirt the handfuls of pine needles they carry? Marshmallows to stuff in your mouth? All the collected, used wrapping paper stuffed under your bed? What happens when you discover their tricks? Will they stop and go away if you threaten to pummel them with firewood ask them nicely? I'm fairly confident I never want to be in the company of, let alone GET, a personal stalking stuffer. Beware good people, but do not let it dampen your merriness! Spread good cheer to all!
