We had our Christmas feast last Sunday and I was busy with the food and didn't get too many pictures taken. It was fun to cook with you, Jenn! :D We were practicing to see how it would work if someone rented the hall and wanted the dinner catered. The hall was beautiful, the dinner turned out well and it was perhaps the best Christmas feast EVER.

-Funny story-

At the Christmas Feast, we played a couple rounds of the game show Family Feud, where two teams try to give the top 10 answers to a question. They had given everyone a questionnaire to fill out after the meeting several weeks ago, to get the statistics, with questions like, "What is a popular Christmas song for children?", "What do you hang on a tree?", etc. One of the questions was "What ingredients do you put in eggnog?". During the feast, the usual answers had been given - milk, eggs, sugar, vanilla, nutmeg, rum, and with one answer unknown on the board, the pressure was on James to come up with it. He couldn't think of anything and in exasperation said, "Nog!, to which laughter erupted in the hall. To everyone's shock and great amusement, it was CORRECT, as 7% of those polled put "nog" as an ingredient in eggnog! Too funny!!

It's not Christmas until I make white chocolate with mixed nuts and craisins to give away!

The challenge - not to nibble on it!

I think we are finally over the bug that was in the house this week. Abbie didn't go to school all week, due to a hacking cough and fever. Good riddance to get it over and out of here before Christmas!

Today: I made a large dent in my Christmas shopping list, with my girls, Abbie and Diana. Christmas shopping is so much better with buddies! Eggnog please! (I've added "nog" to my shopping list!)
