A-lag's Feast

We had our monthly A-lag feast on Sunday. The theme of the feast was "rainbow". Each of the 15 different groups was instructed to wear a particular color, and their table was also decorated with that color. It was a very interesting and colorful feast with outstanding music! We were asked to make tacos for dinner, with as many colors as possible! We managed to find tomato and spinach flavored tortillas, and also used taco tubs and pita bread for both chicken and regular taco meat. We decided to do fruit pizza and frosted chocolate cupcakes for dessert. Unfortunately, I didn't get a picture of the pizza before someone cut them all! It looked much nicer before... Someone else made a jello rainbow.

Our "orange" table.
Haike and I Andrea M and Andrea H A picture of the hall, taken from the screen. You can see me taking the picture at my table on the left. Yes, the tables were set up in the shape of a rainbow.
During the evening, they got three older couples up to talk about life at Brunstad "back in the day". They told funny stories about tents being flooded every summer, people drying fish in washing machines, Sverre and Kåre giving the vakt a hard time, the first meetings in the old dining hall and so on. Very interesting and amusing!! The last event of the evening was a song about A-lag to the tune of YMCA, written and performed by the dishwashing group. It was pretty funny!

Today: It's a free day today (for most people) which means we have an easier day with brunch at 12:00 and dinner at 18:00. I'll be going in soon here. The sun is shining today, which is a welcome change from the beating we took yesterday! Apple cider, here we come!!

Good Morning, I kept checking for the Rainbow Feast posting! It looks like it turned out to be a very nice and colorful time. I could go for a piece of the fruit pizza!
Good sucess with your cider making efforts!
At the recent Conference/Feast at Victory, Hot cider was served at the snack time. It was such a nice treat since there was a chill in the air.

I miss A-lags feasts! Looked really cool. :D I'm still waiting to see how on earth you make apple cider. I mean, of course you will manage it somehow cause you always do, but I'm very interested to see how you do it this time. Hehe, when ARE you coming home anyways. (Maybe she thinks I can't count very high so she won't tell me til I can at least count with my shoes and gloves (yes it's getting freezing here) off... Hmmm)

Hello again,
From what I figured, you are coming home on the 13th of Dec. This is based on the 8 weeks from Fri. Oct 17th date. What I want to know is how long will you be here???
By the way it is really chilly and breezy today! Some hot apple cider would be great!

Maria, if you look at the bottom of the previous post, (Leaves, leaves, leaves)you should find what you're looking for. :D:D:D Good guess, Debbie! Only coming from Norway to the US you get there on the same day as you go back in time, so it would still be the 12th! :D I am planning on staying for New Years. :D
I could totally go for some warm cider right now. My apartment suddenly got CHILLY and my nose is cold!
