Yes we can!
This is an amazingly good borscht that Natasha (from Ukraine) made for lunch in House 33 today! It's made with fresh beets, cabbage, carrots, tomatoes, potatoes and other veggies, dill, beans and beef. Top it with sour cream. REALLY GOOD!!
This is the chocolate that I was given from an Ukrainian borscht-lover who was so excited to eat borscht again that he felt compelled to express his thanks to the borscht-maker and I by giving us each a chocolate bar! To her, "for making it", and to me, "for letting her". Leftovers heated up for lunch tomorrow! (borscht, not chocolate)
Today: It was the last day before AEG officially begins, and hectic it was. The last bit of baking was finished and put into the freezer and everything cleaned up really well downstairs as we won't be using it for the next 11 days. It's going to be really interesting and challenging and I'm really looking forward to it! I will try to do a post or two if I get the chance. Otherwise, see you in a week and a half! Feel free to check out the AEG website here. It's always so funny to see the hall changed into an arena with sand and horses! Let's do this!!
All the best with AEG and all the strength that goes with it - I mean all the strength - physical energywise:)
I'm thinking of you tons!
Take care!
